Cenote Golondrinas

Cenote Golondrinas or Swallow Cenote in English is an underground cenotes located in Muyil village heading towards Felipe Carrillo Puerto. It is a new place to explore if you visit the Mayan Ruins of Chunyaxché or Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Cenote Golondrinas was opened to the public 2 years ago and It is mainly frequented by divers.

Once you get inside, there are many stalacctites on your face, you will see only crystaline water! Inside, there is a maze full of tiny stalactites and stalagmites and you will be able to explore all the cavern. The water isn´t deep, It is a differente underground cenote, very small to swim, ideal to relax and enjoy the fresh water.

Definitely Cenote Golondrinas is a spot you must visit if you are staying in Tulum or if you are traveling through the Mexican Caribbean. Exuberant forest, high trees and local fauna is what you will enjoy in Swallow Cenote. Open evry day from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
