Cenote Dos Ojos
Cenote Dos Ojos is the most photographed and famous cenote in the Riviera Maya, located just past Xel-Ha and 15 minutes north of Tulum. It is called Two Eyes Cenote because there are two amazing neighboring cenotes connected by a very large cavern zone. This cenote is extraordinary for snorkelers and divers, the water is so crystaline and the cave is surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites.
Recently, Cenote Dos Ojos (two eyes cenote) has been declared as the "world's longest underground cavern" (215 miles) by the Maya Aquifer Project team, who explored this flooded caverns for about 10 months and finally find a connection between Sac Actun system and Dos Ojos, forming the world's largest flooded cave.
We are sure you will wish to see it and explore it, so be ready and have fun. The access is easily for kids and adults, and It is about 10 minutes from highway 307.
