You have certainly heard of Bacalar, the Lagoon of Seven Colors in México. Well, on your trip to Bacalar we welcome you to the Bacalar Rapids, the home of stromatolites!  

The Rapids of Bacalar is located on the Highway 307 between Bacalar town and Chetumal (the state capital of Quintana Roo). Nowadays the rapids is one of the prinicipal tourist attracions of Bacalar as well for its spectacular 7 blue-shaded lagoon and the Stromatolites or ‘living rocks. Its crystalline waters and different tones of blue  attract thousands of  tourists from all over the world who enjoy the view, a swim in its crystalline waters or kayaking throughthis narrow watercourse (about 5 meters wide and 800 meters long).

• For hygiene reasons, we recommend you bring your own snorkeling equipment.
• Wear a life vest if you don't know how to swim.
